I am not a very avid reader but one of the very few books that caught my attention instantaneously is White Tiger. The reason i purchased this book is because its a Man booker prize winner but once I started reading it was clear that it would have been a regret had I not read it. India is depicted in a brutal but honest way and it shows to the world a dark side of a rapidly progressing economy. The divide in the economy is not a very healthy sign and atleast from my personal experience in Germany it is easily understood that the bedrock of any healthy economy is equal distribution of wealth and a strong middle class which is not the case with India. The middle class is better off when compared to 10 years ago thanks to the services industry but is still a minority. This point is driven home with a murder tale in the background brilliantly in this book and tha fact that it is addressed to Wen Jiabao of china states the sarcasm as China and India are often placed in the same bracket whereas in reality China is leaps ahead of us.Anyway this is brilliant work of Fiction and whatever is the moral it is a very good read .
and my favorite line is the way the book starts quoting pinky madam "What a Fucking Joke"
Do read the book

Yesterday was my first visit to the Schloss Burg in Solingen (NRW , Deustchland). There was a medieval christmas market setup inside the castle and I have to say it was a very good experience. Yesterday was a sunday which was unsually active for me(Mostly I sleep on sundays).I liked the various stalls and i should germans have an art for alcohol. I have had gluhwine(Hot wine) many times , but yesterday i came to know that we can have hot apple juice with whisky(Its perfect ). I got to taste many alcohol spirits , some with vegetable extract , some with fruit extract but the best was a chrsitmas special alcohol(weinnachts sauber). You might think Alochol was the only attraction , it was pretty much the only attraction for a single man. But if you are a couple you have lot of things to decorate your home, chocolates to gift (you can gift pure fat to people you hate :) :) ),lot of rustic art, hats etc. Coming to gastronomy i ate a crepe which is a must and kebab (out of place though). I wanted to go to the top of the castle, but it was very very cold and my feet were numb , hence i had to return . The drive back home was mostly sleepy :) . All in all I would say it was 4 hrs well spent.
Will try to upload some photos if possible.

If you could travel back in time, which era would you visit and why?
i would go back to 1857 and win the first war of independance for India , may be india would have been a super power by today...
Football is an amazin game. I used to play it every day 4 years ago , Yesterday after a gap of 3 years it was football time again. The feeling was amazing , it was fun , exhausting fun to quote one of my teammates yesterday. Anyway after the first 15 minutes when i ran like a little kid without any direction , i started to use my head and stopped running(:)) . 1.5 hrs of football surprised even me. By the end of it i had sore legs and hands(Goal Keeping duties).I learnt a new trick from a fellow australian which I cannot even to dream to execute in this life. To sum it up it was fun and i hope it happens regularly now .
